Dr. Joseph Kibler

Chief Executive Officer

A passion for helping others garnered him the American Legion Scholarship for Altruism while achieving a bachelor of science degree at Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA, a premedical scholarship year at the University of Leeds in England, amd a doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine which is now Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed the renowned foot & ankle surgery residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia.

 

He has devoted the past 20 years to private practice, with the last 10 as a board member for InStride Foot and Ankle Specialists.

Jen McMurphy

Director of Operations

Jennifer joined the InStride Central Office team in 2014 with a background that included 16 years of leadership in business administration, payroll, accounts payables, receivables, sales, service and onsite training in construction and industrial equipment manufacturing. 

 

Her 8-year journey with InStride began with payer information distribution, insurance financial funds distribution and bank reconciliation.  Throughout her tenure, she has incorporated overseeing and implementing processes for banking, billing, revenue cycle management, ancillary income, HIPAA and Compliance, MIPS administration, EMR implementation and Pathology procedures, as well as providing oversight to credentialing and centralized accounting. 

 

She serves as a direct point of contact for our Board of Managers, and providers for all day-to-day services provided to InStride Foot and Ankle.

Jean McDonald

Accounting Manager

Jean has 25 years of accounting experience and has worked in all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, staff accountant, tax prep, and consulting roles throughout her career. 

 

She works closely with staff, management, and CPAs to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.  She and the accounting team handle the accounts payable, bank activity posting, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and tax preparation for InStride.

Dr. Kevin McDonald

President

Dr. Kevin McDonald, DPM is a Podiatry Specialist in Concord, NC and has over 36 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1986. He is affiliated with Atrium Health Cabarrus. He is Past President of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society

Courtney Zenzayer

Revenue Cycle & Patient Financials Manager

Courtney joined InStride in 2018 and is currently enjoying her role as Revenue Cycle Manager.

 

She is a dedicated medical office professional with over twenty-four years of progressive experience in providing exceptional medical office experience that includes two years in Internal Medicine, one year in Dermatology, sixteen years in Rheumatology and five now in Podiatry.

 

She currently oversees and assists a team of dedicated personnel that provide all ERA and manual remittance postings, patient statement submissions, patient credit and balance reconciliations and works hands on with our preferred collection agency.  

 

She alongside her team provides up to date, accurate patient financial information to our divisions and our accounting department for proper financial allocation.

Melissa Carson

Payroll & Human Resources Manager

Melissa, began at InStride in July of 2019, bringing with her over twenty years of experience in payroll coupled with human resources administration and management. 

 

Her career in payroll and human resources spans multiple specialties including commercial real estate, international retail for a company of over 200,000, and foreign exchange program administration for over 1,000 sponsored students. 

 

She currently handles all human resource related matters, benefit administration, recruiting, unemployment and workman’s comp claims, new hire onboarding, annual compliance training, FMLA and employee handbook policy and procedures and is a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management). 

 

She administers bi-weekly payroll for North and South Carolina, is the 401K administrator and completes all federal and state government filings and works closely with our accounting department for all benefit invoicing, renewals and payments.

Dr. Eldon Peters

Treasury

Dr. Eldon C. Peters, a Board Certified Surgical Podiatrist has had the privilege to serve the local community for the past five years after founding Capital Foot and Ankle Centers. He is an NC native and graduate of UNC Chapel Hill. He completed his podiatry training at Temple University and then completed a 3-year surgical residency at Drexel Hahnemann Hospital.

Melinda Hefti

Billing Manager

Melinda came to our central office in February of 2022.  She has 30 years of podiatry billing, denial management, accounts receivable and payer management. 

 

She works closely with a dedicated team to ensure accurate billing, spot payer trends, and provide billing and coding updates for our group. 

 

She works hands on with providers to give up to date claim information and assists front office staff with patient collections, authorizations, and insurance guideline questions.
